Bagdad Cafe is a charming and offbeat dramedy set in a remote desert truck stop on Route 66. When a German tourist, Jasmin Münchgstettner (Marianne Sägebrecht), finds herself stranded after an argument with her husband, she stumbles upon the run-down Bagdad Cafe, run by the tough but weary Brenda (CCH Pounder).

Despite their differences, Jasmin slowly brings warmth and transformation to the café and its quirky group of misfits, including a struggling artist (Jack Palance).
